Describe the process you used to create the A/R experience for PSS.
I wanted to deliver to PSS something that would outclass the real thing. We had a few pictures provided to us of the model, and I used my experience to create the model as well as I could, according to the pictures. Eventually we took more in-depth pictures of the actual machine and I was able to re-create a model that was almost identical. Lighting, texturing and animation were all factors in exporting the model into our AR software, and we were able to finalize the model and make it realistic in the AR world.
Where do you see the future of Augmented Reality?
The future of AR is capable of going as far as being able to assist and entertain today’s population. AR can assist drivers by warning them of obstacles and future predictions. AR, by means of entertainment, can be endless. There would be a world that we would be able to interact with using goggles, mobile devices, or even glass panels; which would provide us with endless CGI and allow us to interact with visible AR elements.
