Gmail Login Page Redesign Rolling Out

 In Product Releases/ Updates

UPDATE: A Google spokesperson responded with the following statement: “In response to feedback from our users, we’ve simplified the sign-in process, and the screen has slowly been rolling out over the past few months.”

This response matches some of the reports made in our comments section. Several commenters based in New York, Utah and Ohio reported seeing the new Gmail login, while another commenter located in California, who goes by the name “Kristin B-town,” said that the login page shows up intermittently depending on the browser used.

Still, other international users reported seeing the old Gmail login page, indicating that this new login page is rolling out in stages globally, rather than in one particular region.

Google constantly looks to improve its various services through software updates and design tweaks, and the latest revamp may be coming to your Gmail account.

In a blog post, discovered by TheNextWeb, one user reports that the login page for Gmail has been dramatically redesigned, placing the login at the center of the page; this is similar to its mobile app.
