Five Tips for Building Brand Loyalty
In today’s world, it’s difficult to get consumers to stay loyal to any one brand. We are barraged with options, and with the Internet making it easy to find which brand offers the best quality, consumers no longer feel the need to stay loyal to the one brand they already know they like. So how do you get your customers to stay loyal to you? We’ve compiled a list of five tips to help you out.
1. Engage Your Customers.
Besides just offering great customer service when they are in your store, you need to be able to connect with them when they leave as well. This is where social media comes in.
2. Incentivize Repeat Purchases
Offer discounts for repeat business, or implement a loyalty and rewards program. Having something that rewards customers for coming back and making a purchase makes them want to come back again and again for the reward.
3. Say Thank You
Literally. Just say thank you once in a while, or Happy Birthday, or Merry Christmas. Showing your customers you appreciate them and their business makes them feel special, and can make them more likely to come to you than a competitor.
4. Reward Referrals
It’s just not as effective when you have to pay someone to speak highly of you. Get people talking. Real people. And reward them for their kind words.
5. Keep in Touch
Besides just having a social media presence, there are other ways to talk to your customers. If you have an app, send them push notifications that remind them about you, and encourage them to come in again. The key here is balance; you want to make sure they remember you, but reaching out too much can get annoying and cause them to disengage.
