Is Mobile POS becoming the new norm?
A recent report by PYMTNS.com and payments technology provider, Cayan, revealed some interesting insights from Jordan McKee, a mobile payments analyst with 451 Research. Businesses are rapidly adopting mobile point of sale (mPOS) systems because they are directly helping businesses meet their goals of improving the checkout experience and engaging with customers.
The primary advantage of mPOS systems is flexibility. Not only have mPOS developers streamlined and simplified the checkout process with a mobile app like interface, they are, by design, creating ultimate portability throughout the store. Businesses no longer need to put customers through the most painful shopping experience of them all – waiting in line.
In a way, this is a major business infrastructure trend that the larger retailers have been following the smaller retailers to adopt. mPOS solutions were first targeted to small and medium sized businesses (SMBs) because of their low costs, model flexibility, ease of implementation, and simplified functionality. But as these systems continue to evolve, mPOS systems are becoming extremely popular amongst larger retailers and restaurants, and its wrapped around the customer experience.
iMobile3 has been developing white-labeled mPOS platforms since the very first days of the tablet. Combined with our white-labeled customer loyalty application, payment providers, chains and franchises can all have their own branded mPOS and loyalty solution to maximize revenue and retain customers.
