Snapchat Introduces New Tools for SMBs

Today, in a series of announcements, Snapchat announced new business-facing extensions to its extremely popular social media application. Small businesses will soon have access to a new campaign management tool called Ad Manager. With this tool, which was first hinted in May, SMBs can buy advertisements and manage campaigns.

Snapchat will also be launching a Certified Partners program, which will consist of a group of digital marketing agencies who will help promote and educate SMBs on the new advertising and campaign platform.

In addition to the introductions of Ad Manager and the Certified Partners program, Snapchat also announced another new tool dubbed Snap Publisher which will let advertisers create full-screen video advertisements for their web browsers.

As a newly publicly traded company, Snap Inc. (parent company of Snapchat) faces new pressures to drive advertising revenue.
